Every business needs someone with an interesting backstory, and Nick certainly ticks that box. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, he moved to the UK at the end of 2021 in search of new opportunities. Armed with an Honours degree in Business and experience as a bartender, chef and salesman, he joined us recently as a Trainee Repatriations Consultant. Which, when you think about it, is excellent preparation for dealing with people under pressure. If you can keep hungry diners, thirsty customers and determined buyers happy, travel logistics starts to look positively straightforward.

Nick joined the travel industry to develop a unique skill set, and he's thrown himself into learning the ropes with genuine enthusiasm. Calm, adaptable and eager to learn, he has the sort of attitude that's difficult to teach and invaluable in our business.

What makes him different, though, is his creative side. Alongside his day job, Nick runs a small clothing brand, collaborating with independent artists to champion human creativity in an increasingly AI-driven world. When he's not working, he's usually painting, sketching or enjoying a weekend of jazz and good company.

His travel ambitions are as adventurous as you'd expect. Brazil's favelas for a game of football and local food are high on the list, while Namibia remains a favourite destination. But ask him where he'll always call home, and the answer is simple: South Africa.
